MOORING BUOY 90 m³

In the first week of June, Ocean 3 manufactured and delivered a Mooring buoy more than 90 m³ of net buoyancy; specifically made for the mooring of some of the world’s largest cruise liners. It is believed to be the biggest and largest buoy  of its kind; made of those materials in Europe, so big it needed to be lifted out via the roof of the factory as the door wasn’t big enough.  

All the finishing assemblies, including the steel frame axle, which will allow up to 200 tons safe working load, took place on the company’s carpark, due to its size.

Its delivery to the site of installation will be done with a very special convoy…
